Maseno health officer, George Adhiambo has urged parents who didn’t have their children immunized against polio a month ago to take them to be immunized at the hospital.
Speaking on Monday in Maseno, George said that some parents did not avail their children to take the oral vaccine which is very risky to their health.
He further urged residents to spread the message to their neighbors.
“Make sure your child has received the polio vaccine, you can always visit the health center and you will be helped out. Don’t put the life of your child at risk. Help us help to kick polio out of Kenya,” said Adhiambo.
He added that polio vaccine is safe and has no side effects on the children and therefore parents should not be worried.
