The bridge that connects Kathiani and Kangundo sub counties in Machakos County was washed away by raging floods on Sunday, December 13.

This is due to ongoing heavy rains in the area. 

Senator Johnson Muthama who arrived at the scene confirmed that there were no casualties following the incident.

He said an initiative will be taken immediately to construct another bridge to serve the locals.
