Kisumu government has been challenged to set aside funds to improve residents' well-being by training them in various skills.
Kisumu County Resident’s spokesperson Audi Ogada who spoke to this writer on Tuesday at Kisumu social hall said equipping rrupon the county government to allocate funds to equip residents with skills which they will employ for their economic empowerment.
According to him, it was important to have residents trained in various skills that would improve their socio-economic status.
The skills acquired in training when put into practice would greatly impact on the lives positively as the residents venture into various activities, he added.
“We recommend that there should be a skill education to the residents, the county government should ensure it allocates funds that will see residents equipped with skills,” said Audi.
“We want to ensure residents get skills that will help them start businesses to improve their lives," said Tevin Omwanda.
