Three members of a gang operating in Kisumu and Maseno were arrested on Sunday following a tip-off by the public.
Police said an accomplice of the three was arrested three weeks ago in Maseno after he allegedly robbed a female student.
The arrested member was then taken to Maseno police station to help with police investigations where he named the three.
Police said the three had booked a rental house in Mabungo which have been a hide out to plan criminal activities.
A member of the public alerted the police Maseno police station who responded swiftly.
“I can now be at peace after the four are in police custody. Thanks to the efforts of the police,” John Juma, a resident, said.
Area OCS, Erick Langat, thanked the public for the cooperation saying efforts by the police and the community will help curb crime.
