Police in Mombasa have gunned down four terror suspects who were reportedly on a police list. Police said the suspects have been involved in several terror activities in the coast region.

"After a fierce exchange,  police managed to gun down four suspects  including Suleiman Mohammed Awadh who had a Sh 2 million bounty on his head," police sources in the region said. 

Police said the four had thrown a grenade at officers before they tried to escape but we nailed.

Police recovered several mobile phones, Beretta pistol, several SIM cards and hard grenades.
