Kisumu County Orange Democratic Movement Vice Chairman Dave Okwach will be laid to rest on Saturday.
The funeral will take place in Bondo and will be graced by ODM party bigwigs lead by Cord leader Raila Odinga.
Raila had last week visited the family of the late Okwach to send his condolences in Kisumu.
“We are going to give our brother and leader a proper send off befitting him. On Tuesday we were carrying out a fundraiser where we helped the family raise some cash for funeral arrangements,” said Edward Ogolla who is the Kisumu Central ODM Treasurer.
Okwach who is the immediate former County ODM Chairman and has been sick passed on at Nightingale Hospital on Thursday afternoon.
He was later elected Vice Chairman through a consensus that saw former Muhoroni MP Ayiecho Olweny given the chairman’s position.
Factions representing the two leaders had each insisted that their person is the bonafide County ODM Chairman.
