Heavy rains currently pounding parts of Nakuru West have swept several roads undergoing renovations in the area.
The most affected road is that of Rhonda-Shabab-Barut which the county government recently reembarked on early January after the December break.
According to Doris Kibiwott who is among the constructors upgrading the roads, floods have swept away the murram that was recently applied.
Kibiwott added that the situation was seriously hampering their efforts to complete the work in due time stating that they were considering suspending the project should the rains continue.
Her position was echoed by David Mwangi, a resident who said the rains which began last Sunday afternoon was making a mockery of the renovation exercise.
