The Kiambu town planning officer Judy Kimaru is calling on the area residents to ensure that they seek approval from the relevant authorities before they embark on the construction of any building in order to avert cases of shoddy construction work.
She told the residents to seek approval from the physical town planner, public health, and public works before the plan is forwarded to the development control committee at the county level.
On another note, Kimaru asked the residents to cooperate with the town cleaners and not to throw garbage in the drains so as not to clog the drainage system.
She further asked the residents to utilise the garbage bins that have been put in specific areas to throw their waste material.
She further said that plans for the upgrading of the town bus park were underway and assured the residents of a more spacious bus park in future.
She also said that a modern public toilet will also be constructed at Ndumberi for use by the business community in the town.
