Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has urged Cord principal Raila Odinga to cease condemning the government over the Eurobond corruption allegations.

Ngunjir instead asked Raila to act responsibly and present his evidence to the EACC as summoned.

Speaking on Friday at Dundori, Ngunjiri said the Eurobond saga should not be taken lightly while calling on Inspector General Joseph Boinett and Internal Security CS Joseph Nkaissery to arrest leaders who peddle falsehoods to the public.

“We must come together to curb this corruption menace. That is why I am asking the former Prime Minister to bring forward any evidence he has to help clear the air on the alleged Sh140 billion he claims has stolen. We as Jubilee members are not aware of any money that has been stolen and therefore we will not allow politicians to spread false information to the public,” Ngunjiri stated.

The MP also expressed disappointment after the Cord leader refused to avail himself to the EACC offices after he was summoned to present his evidence.

He stated that they found no anomalies on the government expenditure on the money.

“We were taken through the accounts and saw how money was spent in different ways but found no misappropriation of money. The money which was loaned from abroad went directly to the Central Bank before getting to the national Treasury where it was finally released to the ministries,” the Bhati MP added.
