South Rift Regional coordinator Wanyama Musiambo has called on Naivasha residents to stop shading blood over land disagreements.
On Tuesday, Musiambo said it is disheartening at this time and age to see people killing each other and shading blood over property they would die and leave on this earth.
He called on Maella ward residents in Naivasha to find better solutions of solving land disputes instead of killing each other and destroying property.
The administrator called on the residents to value human life saying it is sacred, and can only be taken away by God who is the giver.
“Why should you kill your brother or sister simply because you are fighting over a small piece of land which you will both die and leave it here on earth?” he posed.
He added, “Human life is more sacred even more than the piece of land you are fighting over, and we should respect human life and stop shading innocent blood in these land wars”.
Musiambo who met with leaders from Naivasha in his office, said they have enhanced security in the volatile areas of Naivasha, Gilgil, Mai Mahiu and on the border of Nakuur-Narok borders where land related clashes have been reported in the recent past.
He further said anybody found destroying property or hurting other people in the name of fighting for land will be prosecuted.
