Nakuru town residents on Friday took to parks and other social joints to mark the Christmas day.
Lake Nakuru National Park and Nyayo Gardens among other areas were filled by both young and old as they engaged in merrymaking.
Tom Kimani, a taxi operator said he opted for the National Park because it reminded him of his childhood days when his mother would take him there.
"Today I brought my young family here because this is what mum used to do for us on Christmas day," he said.
"I came along because I'm a nature lover and this place provides the best. I just love it," Martha Too said
However, to Erick Odhiambo, who sat pensively at the Nyayo Gardens, he said the hard economic times had left him with nothing to smile about.
