A middle-aged man died on Monday after being run over by a train at Mashimoni area in Kibera.
Confirming the incident, Mashimoni Administration Police commander, John Makau, the man is believed to have been drunk while crossing the railway line.
He revealed that his body was found by the members of the public on at 2.30pm at the scene of the accident and in turn reported to the security agencies in town.
“The body of the man was found at the scene by good samaritans passing. I appeal to members of the public to be careful while crossing the railway line,” said Otieno, an area resident.
The body of the deceased was taken to the City Mortuary for preservation awaiting a post-mortem.
Makau called upon the area residents to take caution while crossing the railway line and to avoid passing the way while drunk as they can easily be killed by the train.
