Two MPs now want President Uhuru Kenyatta to overhaul the Cabinet and reconstitute it a fresh.
Kuresoi North’s Moses Cheboi and his Bomet Central counterpart Ronald Tanui said the only solution to the rampant corruption in the country is overhauling the Cabinet and getting new people on board to redeem Jubilee government’s image.
Speaking Monday evening in Kuresoi town, the two said the Jubilee government is slowly losing credibility and public trust, and called on Uhuru and his deputy William Ruto to act quickly.
“The Jubilee government is being ruined by greedy government officials and that is a known fact that the president should address,’’ said Cheboi.
He added: “The Cabinet is tainted and the only thing that should be done is to overhaul it and bring new faces on board.”
Tanui said it will be hard for Jubilee to fully implement its manifesto with the current crop of Cabinet secretaries that are over spenders.
“If the current Cabinet stays in place until 2017, then Jubilee should as well forget about its manifesto because these people are focused on looting and making billions out of this government and if nothing is done, then things will be worse because the chances of Jubilee being re-elected will be an uphill task,” said Tanui.
