Nakuru government is committed to ensuring the county becomes an education hub in the region, a senior county official has said.

The county education, youths, sports and culture minister Francis Mathea said Friday measures are in place to ensure this was achieved.

He said the Governor Kinuthia Mbugua administration is committed to offering a good operational ground to all institutions in the county with the aim of uplifting education standards.

"As a department, we shall support all our institutions of learning and we promise to employ enough resources at our disposal to make Nakuru great," the CeC said.

He called on all stakeholders in the sector to join hands in ensuring that the target was met, saying it is possible with the right mentality.

"All of us need to impact the right mentality and attitude to our students to ensure they excel academically because we want Nakuru to be the number one county in education," he said.
