Molo MP Jacob Macharia has promised fair distribution of bursaries in the constituency.
Addressing university and college students at Turi, Macharia said all the needy students in the area will be considered to ensure they afford education.
During the meeting, students who have benefitted from the kitty before raised concerns that though they were listed as having been given the bursary, it was not deposited to their respective institutions.
“I was listed as having been a beneficiary of bursary but it never reached our school. We would like to understand what happened,” One student from Rongo University College said.
The MP assured the issue will be addressed by his office.
"The money allocated to you will be deposited to your accounts. It's your money," Macharia said.
The first time MP said he is committed to ensure residents get affordable education to enhance development.
The issue of impassable roads in the expansive constituency, especially the Kibunja-Posta road that connects Molo town to the Nakuru-Eldoret highway, was raised.
“We have roads under the county government and those under the national government. I can assure you those under the national government will be fixed,” Macharia said.
