As the world is celebrating the international women day At Kisii county celebrated it in style by helping one of their girl to join form one at Nyabururu High school.
Through the support of Kisii county women representative Sarah Otara and the courtesy of the county government they helped Natasha Moraa who as been out of school due to a lack of school fees.
Natasha who scored 357 marks in 2015 KCPE failed to join Chogoria Girls today joins Nyabururu Girls through the sponsorship of the Women representative and the county government of Kisii.
Speaking at Nyabururu girls Kisii primary head teacher Grace Nyamweya, who escorted Natasha with other teachers hailed the well-wishers by saying that it has taken quite long for help to come but she thanked God for what had happened.
“Today as we are celebrating international women day we are so happy for Natasha as she joins the high school to further her studies," said Nyamweya.
"I would like to thank all who have sponsored this child as my hope that she is going to do her best in academics," added Nyamweya.
She was received by the school principal Emelda Ochenge who also hailed those who helped Natasha join the school and she promised to help Natasha achieve success.
Natasha also thanked all the well-wishers who and promised to do the best.
The county government gave out a cheque of Sh27,288 as the woman representative have sponsorship amounted to Sh88,000.
