Youth in Kiambu county have been advised to be creative and initiate projects aimed at fully utilising the natural available resources in the area instead of searching for white collar jobs.
Addressing hundreds of youth drawn from different parts of Gatundu North during an empowerment seminar held on 1st November 2015 at Kamwangi social hall, the area youth officer John Karue said that the county was endowed with unlimited resources which could easily be exploited for the benefit of all.
‘The time has come for you to change your approach towards development and job search," he said.
He also called on the youth to make proper use of the available government opportunities such as the Uwezo fund and the youth enterprise fund advising them to gather into groups and apply for loans to enable them kick start various enterprises and eradicate poverty.
He further urged them to acquire identification cards and register as voters in order to participate in major political decisions as stipulated in the law.
