A group of youths from Nyamira County have accused the leadership of Nyamira County of skipping the Kisii entrepreneurship summit.
Led by Nyamira county youth leader Nyambega Gisesa they said it was so shameful for Nyamira county officials to skip the summit where they would have the opportunity of borrowing the ideas of the investors who attended it.
“It is so shameful for our leaders who never attended the summit for our region that needs to develop economically and political as a whole, we need leaders who can join others in solidarity of development,” said Gisesa.
They have advised the county government officials to come for benchmarking from the county government of Kisii so that they can also host a similar forum to explore and showcase the available opportunities in empowering the people of Nyamira.
“We advise our leaders to copy the example of Kisii county in terms of development so that we can also develop,” added Gisesa.
