Youths in Kibera slums have come out strongly to vow to change their lives in the slums.

This came a day after Kibera women on Thursday pleaded with the youths to avoid crime. According to the women, crime has seen their children sleep in jail while others have been killed.

On Friday morning, one Kibera youth, Montana Osimbo, called upon fellow slum youths to mind their own business and never wait upon the government to help them.

Osimbo complained of how many youths, who are bright and energetic, have been caught up on the wrong side of the law and in turn, been separated from their families by serving a jail term. He called on youths to avoid crime.

The youths have started a movement titled Kureform ndio form which calls upon the youths who are in crime to reform.
