Cord leader Raila Odinga has been asked to make good his threat and boycott the 2017 general elections over the current composition of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
Speaking on Sunday during a church harambee at Kairi AIPCA, Chania Ward MCA Ng'ang'a Muthua and his Mang'u Ward counterpart Samuel Gachihi told Raila to concede defeat at this stage rather than keep on complaining about the electoral body.
The MCAs claimed the Cord coalition has already smelt defeat in the 2017 general elections and its leaders are just engaging in side-shows.
"He keeps on saying that he will be on the ballot in 2017. Now he is saying that he will boycott the elections because of alleged plans to rig the general elections. What is his stand?" said Muthua.
Gachihi on his part said the Jubilee government has and continues to deliver on its promises which he claims has left Cord with nothing to talk about other than propaganda.
"By the time we get to 2017, the Jubilee government will have almost delivered everything it promised to Kenyans. That is why Cord has to keep on talking about an imaginary rigging to sound relevant," said Gachihi.
