Two suspects were on Wednesday arraigned in a Nakuru court charge with being in possession of bhang.
According to the police, the suspects, Peter Kamau and Cassan Agesa, are alleged to have been found with 54 rolls of bhang during a police patrol in Nakuru township.
Police said Kamau was allegedly found with 52 rolls of bhang at Bondeni estate while Agesa was found with two rolls in Nakuru Town.
According to the police, the two were caught by the police on patrol and upon seeing them (police), they fled. This prompted the police to pursue them. They were arrested and taken to Central Police Station.
The suspects denied the charges when they appeared before Senior Principle Magistrate Liz Gicheha.
Kamau was released on a surety bond of Sh30, 000 and cash bail of Sh20, 000 while Agesa was released on a Sh20,000 as surety bond and cash bail of Sh10,000.
The case will be heard on September 22.
