Three men were on Monday arraigned in court for robbery with violence after the stolen goods worth Sh 400,000 were recovered from them.

Wilson Muthaura, Francis Mugao and Anthony Macharia were charged with robbery with violence using a pistol and they were also held in connection with robbery of the goods worth approximately Sh 70 Million along the Eldoret-Nakuru highway at Salgaa center.

They were accused of allegedly robbing Abdi Fara and Abdishukri Alinur off their properties and Titus Kiplagat of his Mitsubishi lorry that was loaded with electronics like computers, mobile phones as well as clothes on July 15.

According to the police, Titus Kiplagat was driving from Eldoret to Nakuru of which of upon reaching Salgaa, they were stopped by four traffic officers.

They were order to alight and go into a small vehicle of which they were sandwiched by the three men and handcuffed.

They were drove to unknown destination were the lorry was offloaded and parked besides Nyahururu Road.

On July 31, the police who were still investigating the robbery incident at Salgaa were in Nairobi when receives an information from the members of the public regarding the incident and they proceed to Sykimou estate within Mavoko municipality.

They went into the house of Wilson Muthaura where they recovered some of the assorted goods that included laptops and cloths worth 4 million.

Francis Mugo who is the caretaker of the house was arrested and and he led the officers to whereabouts of Anthony Macharia and they arrest him in Nakuru.

State prosecutor Hillary Songoyo told the court that matter was still under investigation and wish to consolidate the matter with the other two cases that are before court.

Appearing before Senior Principle Magistrate,Liz Gicheha, they pleaded not guilty and they were released on an a surety bond of 1 million with an alternative cash bail of Sh 300,000.

The case will be mentioned of August 7 and heard on September 9
