Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor Daniel Chemno has encouraged both local and foreign investors to invest in the county’s trade, transport and tourism sector.
Speaking to journalists in his office on Monday, Chemno said the county is ready to work with investors to boost the county’s trade and tourism sector.
Chemno said Uasin Gishu has a good environment for business and that investors should take the advantage and invest their money.
The deputy governor said the county government is working on strategies that will improve its economy and improve service delivery to residents.
Chemno noted the county has reached out to local and foreign investors seeking their investments.
“Investors should feel free to set up business ventures in Uasin Gishu County. The government will support them in terms of incentives,” he said.
The deputy county boss noted that the county’s economy will double if more investors set up businesses in the area as the county is working on diversifying development.
“We want to tap and utilise every resource in order to boost development,” he said.
Chemno said that county has embarked on projects like road upgrading and renovations meant to open up the county to other areas for trade.
