Kisii County has signed a memorandum of understanding with Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology aimed at fostering agriculture and education sectors.

Speaking on Wednesday in his office during the signing of the MoU, Governor James ongwae said the partnership seeks to bring on board academicians in the county’s development.

“Today we are signing this MoU with JKUAT as one way of showing our willingness to work with such institutions to develop our county,” said Ongwae

“This MoU is going to develop our county as we will have strategies on how we can work with this institution on improving our county both in the education and agriculture sectors,” he added.

JKUAT Deputy Vice Chancellor Benard Moirongo who represented the Vice Chancellor Mable Imbuga said they will work with the county government to ensure that Kisii becomes a better region.

“We will always work together so that we can help each other for the good of this county,” said Moirongo.

He urged academicians to work with the county government as one way of improving the education sector.
