Kisii county governor James Ongwae has signed three bills into law.
The three bills he signed are Kisii County Alcoholic Drinks Control Bill, Kisii County Business Licensing Bill, and Kisii County Rating Bill - which will control taxes paid for land and business premises in the county.
Speaking on Wednesday in his office when he signed the bills, governor Ongwae said the bills will enhance development in the county and improve people's lives.
Governor Ongwae challenged Kisii residents to always follow the law to avoid conflicts with the county government.
“The bills I have signed today will streamline our operations, I am asking Kisii residents to obey and work under those laws,” said he said.
Kisii County Secretary Johnston Ndege , County Assembly Speaker Okerosi Ondieki, Public Service Board chairman David Kombo and Kisii County disaster management officer Patrick Lumumba and Ken Osembe witnessed the signing of the bills.
