A man was on Wednesday arraigned before a Nakuru court after he was  found operating a pharmacy without a license and selling part I poison drugs.

Robert Okoth is alleged to have been operating a pharmacy and being in possession of part I poison drugs including Elythrox, Amoxicilin, Triaxon, Zolovox, Ciprofloxicin and other assorted drugs on September 29 at Naro Pharmacy in Nakuru Town.

Okoth also faced another account of operating the pharmacy without a business permit and having not been registered by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.

Appearing before Senior Principle Magistrate Liz Gicheha, Okoth pleaded not guilty and was released on a surety bond of Sh60,000 and an alternative cash bail of Sh30,000.

The case will be heard on November 9.

In the same court, a suspect told the court that he hired the stolen motorbike found in his possession, saying he was not aware from whom it had been stolen.

Danson Maina is alleged to have been found with a motorbike belonging to Albert Juma that was reported stolen from Ngomongo area on September 28.

"I hired the motorbike so that i can carry church property, the person I hired the motorbike form suddenly disappeared and i was left alone," he said

He denied the charges and was released on a surety bond of Sh20,000 and an alternative cash bail of Sh10,000 pending the hearing on November 9.
