Bogichora ward representative Beuttah Omanga has called for improved of health services in Nyamira County to ensure a healthy population.

Speaking in Bosiango Sub County hospital on Monday when he visited the facility, Omanga said the county government has been given enough funds to purchase modern health facilities for the county hospitals.

Omanga said modern facilities will adequately cater for the needs of the residents instead of going to other counties to seek medication.

The MCA called upon governor John Nyagarama to ensure that all sub county hospitals are up to standards and have the right drugs for all patients.

He urged all medical practitioners to ensure they provide the services needed by the residents and thanked the county government of Nyamira for ensuring there are no strikes by health workers as witnessed in other counties.

“In Bosiango this is the hospital which we want upgraded since it serves many patients from Bosamaro and Bogichora wards, therefore the governor and the health committee should ensure the allocation of funds to facilitate its upgrading,” added Omanga.
