TNA Secretary General in Kiambu County Solomon Ndung'u has announced the expulsion of Riabai Ward MCA Martin Wachira over allegations of sabotaging the fight against illicit brews.

Wachira was arraigned in Kiambu Law Courts on Tuesday to answer to charges of dealing in illicit liquor and is expected to take a plea on Friday.

This comes after 70 cartons of second generation brews were nabbed in his house last week.

Addressing journalists in Kiambu Town on Tuesday, Ndung'u  said they have withdrawn Wachira's party ticket saying he has embarrassed the party and the president.

"We are not going to wait for the court's decision because we have already made ours. A stern action must be taken against him. We have written to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) asking them to call for a by-election in Riabai ward," said Ndung'u.

Ndung'u said that they will not let anybody in the party sabotage the fight against the illicit brews.

The secretary general further gave a strong warning to The National Alliance (TNA) elected leaders saying they risk losing their party tickets and party membership if found going against the party rules.
