KANU secretary general Nick Salat has told Deputy President William Ruto to stop dreaming that Rift Valley is his political preserve.
Secretary Salat said that the DP should be ready to fight for votes in Rift Valley in 2017 and stop thinking it will be an easy ride.
Speaking at Kuresoi town on Sunday, Salat said that KANU Chairman Gideon Moi is ready to register and stamp his political authority in Rift Valley in 2017.
He said that things will not be as they were in 2013 and told Ruto to watch the pace.
“Things will not be the same as they were in 2013 and those how think that Rift Valley is their preserve should start preparing for a real political duel. In 2017 KANU will prove that they have a say in Rift Valley politics and those telling us to shut up are day-dreaming,” said Salat.
He added, “The DP got into power and forgot about the people who elected him and what is happening in Mau Forest is a good example. Instead of fighting for the rights of his people who voted for him overwhelmingly, he has decide to give them a cold shoulder.”
Salat accused URP Members of Parliament for failing to fight for the rights of their people like their TNA counterparts are doing in their strongholds.
