Kisii Deputy County Commissioner Philip Soi has declared war on national examinations cheating.

Soi has told exam candidates to be cautious of people approaching them with exam leakage papers which may lead to cancellation of their results by the Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec).

He warned that the government will not condone cases of exam cheating and other malpractices in the ongoing Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams and the oncoming Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) national exams.

He also challenged all stakeholders to ensure security of exam papers to avoid malpractices which may lead to cancellation of the candidates' final results by the examining body.

Speaking on Tuesday at Gusii Stadium during the marking of Mashujaa Day celebrations, Soi challenged education stakeholders and communities around schools and examination centres to ensure no exam irregularities.

"I am challenging every stakeholder around schools and examination centres and the general public to ensure the integrity of national exams is protected and any malpractices reported," he said.
