Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has called for support of county leaders in his quest to deliver services to Uasin Gishu people.
Speaking at Kalyet High School in Eldoret yesterday, Mandago said that he needs the support of every elected and nominated leader in the county to fulfill the county's development agenda.
The Uasin Gishu governor stressed that the support of leaders will help his government streamline growth and help in achieving development.
Mandago said that his government is open to views and criticism and that no leader would be denied an opportunity to share on issues facing the people.
“I am calling on all Uasin Gishu leaders both politicians, church leaders, student’s leaders and professional group leaders to work with my government on development,” he said.
Mandago said that devolution would work and benefit the people if the leaders united. The Governor says the county government has rolled out several development projects aimed at boosting service delivery.
The governor also asked citizens to support him on the development agenda. He said that citizen participation in governance is critical for realization f development.
The Governor pledged to fast-track development in heath, education, infrastructure, agriculture and trade sectors among others.
