Two men were on Friday arraigned before a Nakuru court to answer to charges of defilement and attempted rape of a minor.
The first suspect, Justus Mugambi was accused of allegedly defiling a 15-year-old Standard Four pupil on the night of August 4 and 5 at Wanyama Centre in Nakuru County.
According to the prosecution, the suspect lured the minor by giving her Sh20 before taking her to his house where he is said to have defiled her.
The second suspect, Amos Mukinda was also accused of allegedly attempting to rape the same minor on August 6 at Wanyama Centre.
Appearing before Chief Magistrate Doreen Mulekyo, the two denied the charges.
The court gave them a Sh100,000 bond or a title deed of the same amount or an alternative cash bail of Sh60,000.
The case will be mentioned on August 27, while the hearing was set for September 23.
