Gesima traders in Kitutu Masaba Constituency want the county government to build them toilets at Gesima market.

According to John Omwoyo, their pleas to have the toilets at the market have fallen on deaf ears and now want the county to urgently take action to improve sanitation.

“We want the county to build better toilets at this market so that hygiene can be improved. Toilets are essential to us,” said the businessman.

He said they have been forced to use toilets at a tea buying centre which are sometimes closed by the management thus inconveniencing them.

“This market should be maintained by our county government since we pay levies that are meant to improve service delivery. The county should use the monies to build us such facilities,” said another trader Teresia Nyarangi.

They have appealed to area Member of County Assembly Kennedy Nyameino to push the county government to fulfill its promises.
