Nakuru County Governor Kinuthia Mbugua pitched camp in Londiani in Kericho on Friday to drum up support for Jubilee Party candidate Aaron Cheruiyot in the by-election scheduled on Monday.

Governor Mbugua appealed to the residents to vote for Aaron Cheruiyot terming him as a young, focused, hardworking & development oriented man.

He further asked the locals to shun political violence.

"You must live in harmony, elections come and go, but all of you will always remain here. You must maintain peace," Kinuthia requested the residents.

The Kericho senator seat fell vacant after the former senator Charles Keter was appointed as a cabinet secretary.
