Two people have died and one critically injured in a road accident along Machakos-Kathiani road at Kang'atuani area, Iveti hills on March 4, 2016.
The accident involved a lorry and a motorbike.
Confirming the incident Kathiani OCPD Mildred Achieng said that the lorry was negotiating a corner when it collided with a motorbike.
He said that both the motorcyclist and the customer died on the spot while the driver of the lorry was critically injured.
"The motorbike was overspeeding when it collided with the lorry negotiating a corner up the Iveti hills mountains. Both the motorbike owner and his customer died on the spot," said Achieng.
Madam Achieng asked motorcyclists to be cautious and more vigilant when driving along the road to avoid more accidents.
The deceased were taken to Kathiani level four hospital mortuary while the injured was rushed to Machakos level five hospital.
