Speaking on Wednesday in Eldoret Town after giving out over 50 motorbikes to chiefs, Abdi said that cases of intake of illegal liquor and insecurity were on the rise.

"I have received reports that there are some chiefs and their assistants who work with criminals and those selling illegal liquor after being given some money. Such officers will be arrested, prosecuted and thereafter shown the door," he said.

He added that chiefs should ensure that their areas of jurisdiction are free from insecurity cases and second generation brews.

He said that the motorbikes should be used to improve service delivery and not for private use.

"Chief should ensure that their motorbikes are in good condition and should only be used while on duty," he said.

He also urged the local administrators to ensure that parents who don't take their children to school are arrested and charged for denying their children their right to education.

"I have received reports that there are some parents who don't take their children to school, such parents will be arrested and charged with child negligence," he warned.
