Residents of Nakuru town west sub county have urged their area MP Samuel Arama to ensure fairness is upheld during the Constituency Development Funds (CDF) bursary issuance slated for Friday(tomorrow). The residents said that previous bursary allocations were riddled with favoritism and called upon the MP to ensure it is fair this time round.

Joseph Onserio, a parent said that he hopes the Friday event lives up to its billing since they had been promised by the CDF committee that fairness shall be upheld.

"I hope that come tomorrow transparency and fairness shall reign supreme when the cheques are finally issued," he said.

John Odongo also noted that it would be sad to see needy students lose out on the bursary allocations just like last time. Odongo noted that the previous allocations were seriously flawed with most beneficiaries coming from well off families.

Efforts to reach Mr. Arama to comment on the issue were futile as his calls went unanswered.

The event will take place at Mukarafuu grounds starting at 10 am.
