Bahati Constituency Development Fund will fund the construction of two classrooms at Central Primary School in Engoshura at the tune of Sh1.4 million, area MP Kimani Ngunjiri has said.
Speaking during ground breaking ceremony at the school Monday, the MP said Bahati CDF will help the school get more pupils through upgrading and improving its infrastructure.
He said some public primary schools in the area are congested and leave no room for more enrollment of pupils who would like to join them.
“Our pupils must go to school but we face many challenges in terms of the infrastructure the schools around here have one of them being classrooms which are too congested. CDF will address this challenge not only here in Engoshura but the whole of Bahati where we have public schools,” said the MP.
He also asked parents and other education stakeholders to support the government of the day in transforming learning institutions.
“My appeal to the public and other education stakeholders is kindly support us as your leaders in developing our schools because at the end of the day, education is what will shape our society,” said he.
