Students have been advised to embrace prayers as a tool that will lead them to be successful in academics.

Speaking on Friday at Nyabururu National Girls in Kisii County during a mentorship programme, Mrs Rachael Ruto, wife to Deputy President William Ruto challenged students to work hard noting that, 'that is the main investment each student should take on seriously'.

"My advice to students is to be in the right books with God if you want to excel not only academically, but in other spheres of life," she advised.

She hailed the school principal for inculcating morals and embracing co-curricular activities among students.

"Am so happy with the school band. I felt happy to inspect a guard mounted in my honor. My special appreciation goes to the school principal Elmeldah Ochenge for the wonderful job."

Mrs Ruto was with the Kubamba TV crew.

The school's Principal, Mrs Elmeldah Ochenge lauded Mrs Ruto for choosing Nyabururu Girls as the first destination in her mentorship programs she is implementing in girls schools in the region.
