The Thika West sub county health director Moses Waweru has sounded a warning to residents to be cautious of non-professional people who give misleading advice about the use of products which could be detrimental to their health.

"It has come to my attention that fake herbalists are moving around lying to residents that when they take certain food items, they would get cured from particular diseases," he said.

He advised residents not to heed the advice of street doctors while urging them to seek medical attention from certified medical doctors for effective health care.

Waweru further urged the ladies who were on the move to lose weight not to use lemon.

"Lemon does not reduce weight no matter how many one ingests, it only contain citric acid and ascorbic acid. Ladies please indulge in activities that assist in metabolism such as exercising and eating foods that are low in calories," he said.

Waweru also thanked the county health leadership for ensuring that all health facilities were equipped with the required drugs saying that it was the only way to protect the health of the people.
