The Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board has directed all doctors to wear identification badges which contains their names, registration number, passport size photos and specialty while attending to patients.

The advertisement published in local dailies Tuesday and signed by the board's chief executive officer Daniel Yumbya read in part; "The exercise will assist members of the public to verify whether the doctor is qualified and licensed by the board to practice.’’

It further warned that the board will carry out inspections countrywide to ensure all doctors and health facilities are duly licensed to practice and operate.

The board advised the public to visit its website to check out on the list of registered and accredited training and internships institutions in the country.
