The Uasin Gishu County government will partner with an Italian Company, Paroni Construction Company to help the county in establishing a quarry.

Speaking senior managers from Paroni Construction Company paid him a courtesy call in his office on Wednesday, Governor Jackson Mandago said the quarry will help in job creation after establishment.

"The quarry will be established in Ainabkoi where we have a lot of large stones which are locally mined by residents for their own use," he said.

He said the quarry will reduce the cost of constructing since it will produce high quality stones for the construction industry in the county.

The Chief Executive Officer, Pavoni Construction Company Aido Pavoni said the quarry will employ over 150 youth in the county.

"We will soon be establishing a branch in this region to give youth employment opportunities," he said.
