Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire has defended his track record at Gesima ward, blaming his competitors for the hostile relationship with a number of residents from the ward.

Bosire was addressing a group of youths from Ritibo village on Wednesday who had written to him a couple of weeks ago accusing the legislator of isolating the region in his development plans.

He said through the CDF kitty, he had renovated a number of schools from the region and pointed out the construction of the Metamaywa-Kebirigo road as a major project he has facilitated.

“I am guided by the rule of law and when I use you money, I ensure it’s done fairly and without any prejudices. For instance, Karantini and Riakworo secondary school science labs are complete courtesy of CDF.

There are also a number of primary schools that have also received funding. I played a major role in putting the government on its toes to expedite the construction of Metamaywa road,” he said.

He blamed the youth in the are for failing to form youth groups that could be helped by his leadership as part of empowering the young generation.

“The problem with some of the youth is that you talk a lot without actions. I don’t think any youth group has ever approached me for any assistance and I want to assume there is none which is duly registered,” he added.

The ODM National Treasurer said his intention was working in all the six wards from the region without discrimination.

“I want to assure you that I don’t have to be around for work to be done. Work is being done in all the six wards and I think those who wrote to me from this region were not sincere. They should have even pointed out the Nyaronge borehole that I initiated before accusing me,” he said.
