The Kisii county coordinator for Affirmative Action Development  Social Fund (AADSF) Tabitha Auma, who works in the office of the Women Representative has said that they have put up measures in place to help the needy students access education.

Speaking at Nyabururu Girls High school when presenting a cheque worth Sh88,000 for sponsoring Natasha Moraa to join high school. Auma said that through the funds they will be able to help bright children from poor families to continue with their education .

“Today we are here to present this cheque to the school principal as the office of the Women representative through the AADSF to enable Natasha who has been unable to join high school because of school fees to advance her studies,” said Auma.

She added that the funds will benefit all bright students in the county who comes from vulnerable families.

“We are going to make sure that these funds benefit all vulnerable but bright students to continue with their academics as we have done to Natasha,” added Auma.

In addition she said that through the funds they are going to empower the women to get the money so that they can start some projects which will aid their economic development.
