Residents of Kikambuani area in Kanzalu location, Kangundo sub-county have been cautioned against taking the law into their hands when they apprehend a suspect.
This was said by Kanzalu location chief Josephine Musyoka while confirming an incident where she rescued a woman from an angry mob after she was reportedly caught with another woman's husband.
Chief Musyoka said that the woman woke up to a shocking morning after she was caught red-handed in her house by the man's wife in a compromising situation.
After an argument between the two women, the woman whose husband was snatched screamed to the neighbours who arrived to watch the free drama while others attacked the woman injuring her and calling her names.
The chief disclosed that the woman had been looking for her husband for some days before she was tipped on where to find him.
The chief advised men to be responsible family men and women to respect their families and uphold their dignity to avoid such shame in the future.
"Such incidents are shameful mostly to our kids who are following our footsteps," said Musyoka.
