Christians have been challenged to take part in nation building by generating funds to initiate development projects and to help the needy in society.
Addressing Muungano PAG Church congregation in Gesima ward during a fund raiser held to facilitate renovation of Matutu PAG church on Monday, retired Pastor Jeremiah Manyieka told christians that they have a big role in nation building, more so economically.
According to Pastor Manyieka, for a nation to develop it needs christians to participate in projects rather than assisting politicians in propagating hate remarks.
“Our mandate as christians is to help in nation building by involving ourselves in projects that can help us prosper as the nation, we need to have divine power that can change even our leaders,” he said.
He also cautioned christians against engaging in unnecessary politics instead of being role models in the society .
“Let us be part of growth of our economy, this can only be achieved if we work on time management,” he added.
