Marani community health workers have been told to teach and monitor households proper use of nets and other health matters as one way of improving health service in the county.
Speaking On Thursday at Marani Level 4 Hospital in Kitutu Chache North Constituency during day one of nets distribution, public health officer Mr Thomas Oirere said that there is need for the community to be sensitised on proper use of the mosquito nets and regularly monitoring.
Therefore Oirere advised all community health workers to visit all households and teach people on how to use this mosquito nets.
“I advise all community health workers from this sub county to visit all households so that they can teach them on how to use thees nets and their importance,’’ said Oirere.
He added that the exercise started well due to the huge turnout.
He advised other residents who did not make it to day one of the exercise to visit distribution centres and collect the nets.
“For those who did not manage to come toady, we advise them to take their time and visit the centers for these remaining days to pick their nets," said Oirere.
