Nakuru Town West constituency ODM branch has distanced itself from Mr Shem Osiago who is claiming to be the branch's chairperson.
In a letter to media houses and signed by the branch executive officer of Nakuru Town West Constituency Othano Kepha Othano, the branch stated that Mr Osiago’s act has damaged communication between the branch and its members, resulting in confusion.
According to the letter, the duly elected office bearers of the party at the branch level are George Omwembe who is the chairperson, John Abuom (secretary), Joseph Ole Kipangas (organizing secretary), Juddy Kerubo (treasurer), Caren Achieng (the secretary for women affairs and Collins Omondi, who is the secretary for youth Affairs.
However, Mr Osiago who spoke to this writer on the phone on Wednesday stated that the group terming itself as the duly elected office bearers are a splinter group which was formed during the recent ODM grassroot elections.
In addition, Osiago claimed the splinter group which has termed him as an impostor, is not recognised by ODM’s national office in Nairobi.
