The county Government of Nyamira has been challenged to increase salaries to the subordinating staff at Nyamira level five hospital.
According to Robert Gwaro, leader of Majority Nyamira County Assembly, subordinating staff at the hospital are poorly paid, which might affect their service delivery.
Ogwaro, who was speaking on Wednesday at the Hospital during the flagging of Medical machines that were donated to the county government from Germany, added the subordinate staff needed good remuneration in order to carry out their day to day activities with ease.
“In order to make sure our machines are in safe hands, we should support our workers so that they can also maintain these machines," said Gwaro.
He challenged the county government under the leadership of Governor John Nyagarama to have measures in place to aid in enhancing development.
He also hailed the Government of German for their support and promised to support it where necessary for the county to have more medical machines.
“I would like to congratulate the Government of Germany for this support and I hope these machines are going to help our residents in terms of health delivery,” added Gwaro.
