The residents and traders in Kisii County have urged the county government to maintain, repair and improve the Kisii-Migori road which passes through the industrial area to Daraja Mbili market and then towards Migori.
They claim that the road is so dusty which is becoming a major source of accidents since the motorists cannot see each other on the road due to the dust caused by moving vehicles.
Last week, a motorist knocked down a pedestrian on the same road and attributed the accident to too much dust which he claimed made him not see the pedestrian.
Traders along this road claim that the road is causing hard times to them since their commodities are being affected by the dust caused by moving vehicles.
The same complaint has also risen from traders with food kiosks and hotels along the road since their business is affected by the road dust menace.
